Production Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Monroe, CT | $18.00–$18.50 per hour | Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

We're seeking a dependable Production Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Monroe, CT. This is a hands-on role where you'll operate production equipment, perform quality inspections, and help ensure products are manufactured safely and efficiently. What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor heat treat production equipment.
• Set up production lines according to work orders and operating procedures.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance before startup.
• Monitor oil and water filtration systems and replace filters as needed.
• Inspect parts throughout the production process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Load, unload, and stage materials while preventing product mix-ups.
• Prepare finished products for inspection, packaging, and shipment.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and report equipment or safety concerns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic production issues.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience are a plus.
• Reliable attendance and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
• Frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, and heat in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, gloves, and hearing protection.
