Schedule: 2nd Shift – 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
We are seeking a Production Machinist I to support manufacturing operations by performing precision machining and metal fabrication work. This role involves operating CNC and manual machining equipment to produce parts that meet required specifications and tolerances.
The ideal candidate will have machining experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong understanding of machining processes and measurement tools.
Perform precision machining operations on parts with straightforward configurations and tolerances.
Interpret work orders, blueprints, and instructions to determine machining processes and sequence of operations.
Set up and operate machining equipment including:
Lathes
Milling machines
Grinders
Metal cutting saws
Select appropriate cutting tools, materials, feeds, and speeds based on job specifications.
Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as:
Micrometers
Verniers
Gauges
Indicators
Calipers
Perform repetitive production work while maintaining dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
Work with higher-level machinists to improve machining methods and production processes.
Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow all safety procedures.
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 2 years of machining experience and/or training
Technical school, apprenticeship, or equivalent CNC machining experience preferred
Basic computer skills required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions
Understanding of machining principles, tolerances, and materials
Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters
Familiarity with machining reference materials such as the Machinist Handbook
Basic CNC programming knowledge
Experience with production machining environments
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
Ability to stand for extended periods
Frequent use of hands, arms, and manual dexterity
Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
This role operates in a manufacturing environment where employees may be exposed to:
Moving mechanical parts
Metal chips and abrasive particles
Coolants and lubricants
Airborne dust and fumes
Elevated noise levels
Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, respirators, and safety shoes may be required.

Ability to work independently after approximately 4–6 months of training
