Job Title: Production Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
We are seeking a hands-on Production Maintenance Supervisor with 3–5 years of maintenance leadership experience and a strong background in industrial manufacturing. The ideal candidate has successfully led maintenance teams in a fast-paced production environment, possesses strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and understands how to drive equipment reliability, safety, and team performance.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, coach, and support a team of Maintenance Technicians.
Assign daily maintenance priorities and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
Conduct shift meetings, communicate plant priorities, and provide direction to maintenance personnel.
Mentor technicians to improve troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance capabilities.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Assist with technician training, onboarding, performance management, and workforce development.
Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Operations teams to support plant goals and equipment reliability.
Maintenance & Reliability
Coordinate corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance activities.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation-related equipment issues.
Support root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring failures.
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
Ensure maintenance work orders are properly managed and documented within CMMS systems.
Drive PM compliance and maintenance best practices throughout the facility.
Equipment & Systems Experience Preferred

Three-phase electrical systems
Motor controls and starters
HMIs and industrial controls
Sensors, relays, and photo-eye systems
Automated manufacturing equipment
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or GED.
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
3–5 years of leadership experience in a Maintenance Lead, Maintenance Supervisor, or related maintenance management role.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills in a manufacturing environment.
Experience supporting automated production equipment, industrial conveyor systems, and packaging operations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and equipment documentation.
Experience utilizing CMMS software for work order management and preventive maintenance tracking.
Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Technical degree, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance certification.
Experience in beverage, bottling, food processing, packaging, plastics, or other high-speed manufacturing environments.
Experience supporting blow mold equipment and automated packaging systems.
Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma methodologies.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baton Rouge, LA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
