    Location: 6525 Homestead Road, Houston, TX 77028

    Work Hours: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, Monday through Friday

    The Dixon Group is looking for a Production Maintenance Tech to join our team! In this role, you will learn to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a wide variety of industrial machinery. From mechanical and electrical systems to hydraulics and pneumatics, you will play a crucial part in ensuring maximum equipment uptime, optimal operational efficiency, and strict adherence to safety standards.     What Youll Do:

    • Maintain the operational ability of equipment by completing routine preventative maintenance checklists and activities.
    • Learn to identify mechanical issues and repair or replace worn and broken parts as necessary.
    • Move, assemble, install, and dismantle industrial machinery using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
    • Use equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy materials safely.
    • Address general facility maintenance issues and carry out standard recycling duties.
    • Learn to read and understand schematic diagrams, engineering blueprints, and sketches to guide assembly and repairs.
    • Strictly follow all work site safety requirements, regulations, and best practices.

    What Were Looking For:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Entry-level maintenance or contracting experience is required. Previous roles like maintenance mechanic, electrician helper, or automobile mechanic are highly preferred.
    • A strong willingness to learn about and service industrial components, including gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, motors, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
    • The ability and desire to learn about industrial electrical systems, motor controls, wiring diagrams, AC/DC circuits, sensors, and basic Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
    • Highly motivated to master complex engineering drawings and electrical/piping schematics to understand system layouts.
    • A detail-oriented and dedicated individual who is enthusiastic about problem-solving and making a positive impact on the teams success.
    • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including steel-toe shoes.
