OVERVIEW:
The Production Manager supervises all prefabrication (prefab) shop personnel, taking ultimate accountability for project or subset of project. Directs the tasks of staff and participates in prefab work as needed.
Compensation: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience.

Specific Responsibilities • Communication/Safety/Quality Control • Ensure employees follow policies and procedures, including: o Policies and enforces company cell phone usage o Takes accountability for counseling and correcting employees acting as a witness and raising the flag when something is not right o Ensures employees work safely wearing all proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) • Perform daily huddles, safety minutes, roll call and stretch and flex • Manage and correct any grievances or behavior problems • Recommend and supervise any necessary training • Ensure the crew has adequate tools • Take a piece of the overall job on larger projects such as one-line, fire alarm, branch circuits, site lighting, equipment (mechanical or pool, etc). • Read and understand contract documents for project • Maintain a secondary and in some cases third plan • Motivate crew and project • Preplan the project to stay at least two weeks ahead of crew, including: o Orders material and tools for the prefab shop floor, ensuring available for the crew o Acts conscientiously about costs o Orders prefab for jobsite o Keeps a daily to do list o Understands abilities of crew o Schedules and accurately man loads crew communicating with foreman • Prioritize according to the needs of the project and the customer • Take accountability and responsibility for quality control and productivity in area and: o Catch and correct errors o Ensure employees are safe, complete task correctly and then work on speed • Communicate goals for the jobsite to employees working at all levels of Encore Electric, Inc. using the tell-back procedure • Communicate and coordinate with other trades for the project • Lead by example • Orientate employees to safety, logistics and scope on the jobsite • Walk the job with new employees and employees from the office/new hire orientation • Effectively communicate and define employees role with them on the project, ensuring employee understands how they fit into the overall job and how the manager wants their work done • Effectively communicate with superiors • Read and understand basic blueprints • Handle material required for the job • Perform duties as assigned by supervisor • Take accountability for a clean and safe work area • Enforce 50/100 rule o One person can carry no more than 50 lbs., no two people should carry more than 100 lbs. • Enforce 5 second 5 feet rule o All material can be accessed within 5' or 5 seconds • Responsible for overall man loading

REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required with a degree in related field being preferred. At least five years' experience as a Production Leader in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Green Belt-Six Sigma or higher is preferred. Experience with ISO 9001 Certification and Quality Controller processes and strong managerial experience - lead of team of 30 people is also preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills are required. Completion of Leadership Level I Leadership (Supervision) is a plus.
