3 Saints Baking Company is growing and changing, and we are looking for a dependable, hands-on 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead our evening bakery production operation.
Our bakery recently transitioned from a cookie bakery to an exciting new focaccia, toast, and specialty bakery manufacturing operation, creating new opportunities for experienced production leaders who want to be part of a growing food manufacturing team.
Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Production Manager is responsible for managing the entire bakery production operation during the evening shift. This position will oversee production employees, monitor workflow, support quality and food safety standards, ensure production goals are met, and help keep the operation running efficiently.
The ideal candidate must have prior production experience, prior leadership experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well with people while holding employees accountable. This position also requires the ability to complete digital production paperwork and enter required information into the computer accurately.
Responsibilities
Manage the full 2nd shift bakery production operation
Lead, direct, and support production employees during the evening shift
Ensure production schedules, quality standards, and daily goals are met
Monitor workflow, staffing, productivity, and line performance
Communicate expectations clearly to employees
Help train, coach, and hold team members accountable
Ensure employees follow food safety, sanitation, GMP, and company procedures
Monitor product quality, packaging accuracy, and production efficiency
Address production issues, employee concerns, and operational needs during the shift
Complete digital production paperwork accurately
Enter required production information into the computer
Communicate production updates, issues, and concerns to management
Help maintain a safe, clean, organized, and productive work environment
Support equipment, ingredient, packaging, and staffing needs as they arise
Assist with other production management duties as needed
Qualifications
Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience is required
Food manufacturing, bakery experience strongly preferred
Strong people skills and ability to lead employees effectively
Ability to manage an entire production operation during the evening shift
Good communication, organization, and decision-making skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Comfortable using a computer and completing digital production paperwork
Strong attention to detail
Dependable, professional, and punctual
Ability to follow company policies and enforce procedures consistently
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and remain active throughout the shift
Must be available to work 3:00 PM-12:00 AM, Monday through Friday
