The successful candidate will be hands-on, organised and able to coordinate multiple teams while maintaining clear communication with Operations and Customer Experience stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality checks, resolve production defects, and work with Quality and Customer Experience teams to maintain product standards and reduce rework.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve throughput, reduce waste and enhance efficiency using lean principles; lead small projects and standardise best practices across shifts.

  • Performance Monitoring: Track key production metrics (OEE, yield, downtime), prepare regular reports for leadership, and take corrective actions to meet KPIs.

  • Health & Safety: Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safe working practices, conducting risk assessments and participating in incident investigations.

  • Inventory & Equipment: Work with Inventory Control and Maintenance to manage stock levels, minimise shortages, and ensure equipment is maintained and available for production.

  • Continuous Communication: Liaise with Planning, Procurement and Customer Experience to prioritise orders, manage lead times and communicate any delays or changes.

  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date production records, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials to ensure consistency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3–7 years’ experience in a manufacturing, fulfilment or production environment with supervisory experience preferred.

  • Demonstrable experience in production planning, scheduling and team leadership.

  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies and quality control practices.

  • Proficient with production tracking systems, WMS/ERP and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.

  • Commitment to health & safety standards and experience conducting toolbox talks, risk assessments or similar activities.

  • Forklift licence or equipment operation experience is an advantage; training may be provided where required.

  • Level of education: A relevant vocational qualification, apprenticeship or degree in manufacturing/operations is preferred but not essential.
