We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Production Manager to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our production processes, leading our dedicated team, and ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to apply their skills in Lean Manufacturing, Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Cost Control, Team Leadership, Staff Training, Risk Management, Health and Safety Regulations, Quality Control, and Inventory Management.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing the daily operations of the production department to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of products.
2. Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and eliminate waste.
3. Developing and managing the production budget, including forecasting costs and ensuring that expenditures stay within budgetary limits.
4. Leading strategic planning initiatives to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency in the production department.
5. Providing strong team leadership, including training and developing staff, managing performance, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
6. Implementing and managing risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential risks in the production process.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all staff.
8. Overseeing quality control processes to ensure that all products meet our high-quality standards.
9. Managing inventory effectively to ensure that production can proceed without delays and that resources are used efficiently.
10. Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that production goals align with company objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role in the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Budgeting, Strategic Planning, Cost Control, Team Leadership, Staff Training, Risk Management, Health and Safety Regulations, Quality Control, and Inventory Management.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
5. Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills, with an ability to anticipate and mitigate potential issues.
6. Excellent budgeting and cost control skills, with a proven ability to manage a production budget effectively.
7. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
9. Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and excellence in all aspects of production management.
