Peskind Executive Search is conducting a confidential search on behalf of a growing technology organization seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead its U.S. production operation in Tampa, Florida.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced production or manufacturing professional who can take ownership of people, processes, quality, technical production, and day-to-day operational performance within an electronics-focused environment.

The Production Manager will oversee the production workshop and technician team while ensuring work is effectively planned, prioritized, and delivered according to established quality standards, customer requirements, and service-level expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
\n
Production & Operations Leadership
\n
- \n
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the production workshop and technical production environment.
- \n
- Directly manage, develop, and support the production and technician team.
- \n
- Plan, prioritize, and allocate production activities based on customer requirements, business demand, and operational priorities.
- \n
- Ensure the operation is appropriately staffed and resourced to meet production requirements.
- \n
- Maintain oversight of production schedules, deadlines, quality standards, and service-level expectations.
- \n
- Balance operational leadership and planning with hands-on involvement when required.

Technical Production & Problem Solving
\n

- Maintain oversight of technical production issues and support the team in resolving problems.
- \n
- Apply technical, product, and engineering knowledge to troubleshoot production challenges and determine when issues require escalation.
- \n
- Support an environment involving electronic assemblies, workshop test equipment, production processes, equipment returns, and repairs.
- \n
- Partner with Engineering, R&D, Quality, and other internal stakeholders regarding technical issues, testing equipment, product support, and process improvements.

Team Leadership & Development

- Establish clear expectations around performance, quality, productivity, and accountability.

- Identify training and development needs across the production team.
- \n
- Coach and support technicians and production employees to improve individual and team performance.

- Foster an organized, accountable, quality-focused, and safety-conscious production environment.

Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

- Ensure production activities comply with established company processes, quality standards, contractual requirements, and applicable ISO requirements.

- Support quality audits, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- \n
- Ensure operational records, documentation, and reporting are accurate and completed on time.
- \n
- Maintain strong Health & Safety standards and safe working practices throughout the production environment.
- \n
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, processes, quality, and overall operational performance.

Logistics & Operational Coordination
\n

- Oversee goods-in/goods-out processes, equipment returns, booking-in, repairs, and dispatch activities.
- \n
- Support international shipping requirements as needed.
- \n
- Prepare and present operational reports and management information.
- \n
- Participate in operational meetings, performance reviews, and business planning.
- \n
- Coordinate effectively across multiple departments to ensure production and customer requirements are met.

Education & Qualifications:

A degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
