We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society's needs \u2013 today and in the future. \n \nAbout the job:\n \nAs the Production Manager, you will lead and oversee all manufacturing operations at our Green Bay site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of Expancel microspheres and Levasil colloidal silica products. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence while meeting customer expectations, maintaining a strong focus on safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.\n \nThis leadership role is accountable for production performance, cost management, capital projects, quality, asset reliability, and HSE&S initiatives. You will lead and develop the production team, collaborate cross-functionally to achieve business objectives, and serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team. In the absence of the Site Manager, you will provide site leadership and operational oversight.\n \nIn your future role as a Production Manager, you will:\n\n Lead and direct manufacturing operations across six production units, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and on schedule to meet customer demand.\n Oversee day-to-day production performance while optimizing staffing, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency.\n Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing solutions to production, maintenance, scheduling, technical, and process challenges.\n Develop and manage departmental budgets, monitor operating costs, and oversee capital investment planning to support long-term operational success.\n Analyze plant performance to improve safety, reliability, product quality, production rates, and manufacturing yields.\n Champion a strong safety culture by leading HSE&S initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental permits and regulations, and supporting Responsible Care and ISO management systems.\n Develop and execute departmental training and safety plans while coaching and developing a high-performing production team.\n Lead efforts related to quality systems, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement across the production organization.\n Oversee month-end production reporting, manufacturing cost performance, inventory reconciliation, and site variable manufacturing costs (VMC).\n Collaborate with cross-functional teams and serve as a key member of the Site Leadership Team, providing operational leadership and supporting overall site performance.\n Act as the Site Manager's delegate when needed, helping ensure smooth and effective site operations.\n \nWe believe you bring:\n\n A bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience (Chemical Engineering preferred).\n 8+ years of manufacturing or production experience within a chemical manufacturing environment.\n 3-5+ years of leadership experience managing production teams in an industrial setting.\n Experience working at a Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) covered facility is highly preferred.\n Experience in a laboratory or R&D environment is a plus.\n Strong leadership, coaching, and people development skills with the ability to build engaged, high-performing teams.\n Excellent organizational, communication, and decision-making skills, with a focus on driving accountability and results.\n A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify best practices and optimize manufacturing processes.\n Experience managing production budgets, operational performance, and cross-functional initiatives.\n Proficiency with SAP; experience with CAPEX management, Lean Six Sigma (L6S/DMAIC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Enablon, or EPI-MES is a plus.\n The ability to work comfortably in a manufacturing plant environment, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, a hard hat, and a respirator when necessary.\n The ability to lift up to 25 pounds and communicate effectively in English.\n \nGood to know:\n\n This is a full time onsite position located in Green Bay, WI. \n* This position reports directly to the Site Director.\n \nPlease apply via our online recruitment system.
