Production Manager

Hearth & Home Technologies is looking for a Production Manager to join our Stoves Business Unit in Halifax, PA. We are the nation’s leading manufacturer and supplier of hearth products, including a wide variety of gas, electric, wood and pellet burning fireplaces, inserts, stoves, and accessories. As one of our four core business units, the Stoves Business Unit brings together top brands such as Harman, Vermont Castings, and Quadra-Fire, now united under one as Forge & Flame. This team is focused on delivering high-quality, reliable wood, pellet, and gas stove solutions that customers trust.

This role leads the daily operations at our Halifax plant, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and team development. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvement, aligning production with strategic goals, and fostering a high-performance culture. 

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Supervise and mentor production supervisors and team leads, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Oversee production schedules, ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, fostering a safe working environment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to streamline operations and resolve production issues.
• Performance Monitoring: Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor production metrics and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, engineering, industrial technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role, with a proven track record of managing teams and improving production processes.

  • Familiarity with production planning and inventory control systems.
• Certifications: Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus.
