Job Description
Production Manager
Reporting directly into the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the following:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure timely production and adherence to quality standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity and reduce operational costs.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with safety protocols and industry regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of production staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Analyze production data to identify and resolve bottlenecks or inefficiencies.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and resource allocation.
- Work closely with EHS to ensure standards, processes, and procedures are being followed and met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Ensure proper maintenance and functionality of equipment and machinery.
A successful Production Manager should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree - required, Master's Degree - preferred
- 10+ years of experience in production and manufacturing.
- Must have experience working in a union plant.
- Direct experience leading and developing front line supervisors.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and safety standards.
- Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, SixSigma, and Continuous Improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments.
