Production Manager

As a key member of the leadership team, the Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations while developing and implementing strategies that support sustainability, competitiveness, operational excellence, and profitability. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader who can drive company-wide optimization efforts, improve production processes, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily plant and production operations across multiple departments.
• Drive company-wide optimization initiatives and implement actionable performance improvements.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency, sustainability, competitiveness, and profitability.
• Manage production scheduling, line setup, changeovers, and workflow planning to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Identify and implement cost reduction and cost containment opportunities while maintaining operational effectiveness.
• Ensure production goals, quality standards, delivery expectations, and safety requirements are consistently met.
• Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, quality, inventory, labor utilization, and on-time delivery.
• Resolve complex operational issues and production challenges to meet business and customer requirements.
• Oversee inventory management practices to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and proper material availability.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives, process optimization, and waste reduction efforts.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and other functional teams to improve plant performance.
• Maintain quality assurance and quality control standards throughout the manufacturing process.
• Lead and mentor supervisors and department leaders, fostering leadership development throughout the organization.
• Promote a culture of trust, teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing operations leadership experience.
• Extensive experience managing production operations in a plant or manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated success leading projects from concept through implementation and completion.
• Strong knowledge of production scheduling, manufacturing processes, and operational best practices.
• Experience driving process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to identify and execute cost savings and cost containment strategies.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance, quality control, and inventory management principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams.
