Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for operational excellence and cultural transformation? A global leader with over 80 years of manufacturing heritage, is looking for a dynamic Manufacturing Manager to join their Knoxville team.

In this role, you won't just manage processes-you'll empower people. You will serve as a vital link between the frontline supervisors and the Director of Operations, driving the success of our production teams while fostering an entrepreneurial environment built on integrity and respect.

What You'll Do As the Manufacturing Manager, you will oversee the coordination and management of all production activities to exceed company objectives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Operational Excellence: Managing machine resources to maximize productivity and minimize downtime while reducing expenses across all product lines.
  • Strategic Leadership: Implementing continuous improvement programs and achieving critical manufacturing goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Team Empowerment: Coaching and guiding employees, preparing performance reviews, and cross-training staff to ensure a flexible, high-performing workforce.
  • Compliance & Quality: Ensuring strict adherence to Health & Safety policies as well as GDP, CGMP, and ISO standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Utilizing KPI targets and reporting to drive process efficiency and budgetary accuracy.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Education: A 4-year degree in Engineering or similar
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience managing a multiple-department facility, preferably within an ISO or regulated environment.
  • Proven Track Record: Success in implementing behavioral cultural change and continuous improvement programs.
  • Technical Savvy: Working knowledge of ERP systems and ISO 13485.
  • Leadership: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently to meet customer needs.
Desirable Skills:

  • Experience specifically within a Healthcare manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with SAP.
  • Background in Manufacturing Financial Management or Quality Engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all employees follow Health & Safety policies and regulations
  • Manage and evaluate machine resources to ensure productivity and minimal downtime
  • Strive to reduce expenses and increase productivity across all product lines
  • Responsible for the timely production of quality products in accordance with established production schedules.
  • Provide motivation, support, and guidance to all employees
  • Responsible for effective machine utilization, process efficiency, and productivity in accordance with budgetary guidelines.
  • Must implement continuous improvement programs to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Achieve manufacturing goals for safety, delivery, quality, cost, scrap, and productivity to meet product and customer requirements.
  • Reviews production variances, waste, and booking reports to assure accuracy
  • Effectively communicate and relay information to supervisors and senior management
  • Prepare and conduct performance reviews for subordinates
  • Crosstrain employees for flexibility within and across departments
  • Meet KPI targets and maintain the KPI boards' current
  • Ensure inventory accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with GDP, CGMP, and ISO standards
  • Support Quality in reviewing complaints, finding the root cause, and providing corrective actions
