Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and customer delivery commitments are achieved. Drive operational performance through monitoring and analysis of key metrics including productivity, efficiency, scrap, quality, and on-time delivery. Provide leadership, coaching, and development to production teams while promoting a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Ensure adherence to established manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures, and company policies. Identify operational challenges and implement timely corrective actions to minimize downtime and production disruptions. Champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Support workforce planning, employee performance management, and employee relations activities in partnership with Human Resources. Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing productivity, quality, operational efficiency, and cost performance. Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts to address production, quality, and operational issues. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives. Communicate operational priorities, performance, and challenges to senior leadership while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Support facility planning and execution of strategic initiatives that drive long-term operational success.
A successful Production Manager/Supervisor should have a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience leading manufacturing operations within an industrial production environment. Prior experience managing teams and developing frontline leaders. Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and performance management. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience within advanced manufacturing, industrial products, or other highly regulated industries. Exposure to Lean, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence programs. Experience with ERP systems, production planning, and resource allocation.
