    Description

    Position PurposeThe Production Manager is responsible for daily operational leadership within the plant's Converting, Adhesive, and Coating Department. This role provides direction to supervisors and production teams to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement goals are met.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide leadership and oversight to Converting Department supervisors, including assigning workloads, monitoring quality standards, and ensuring a safe work environment.Develop, prioritize, and execute manufacturing plans to achieve service, quality, efficiency, and waste‑reduction goals.Implement and sustain IPS performance metrics, supporting plant progress toward certification objectives.Build employee engagement and ownership by driving continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and quality system requirements.Establish and communicate a clear operational vision aligned with company and site objectives, optimizing technology and processes for improved performance.Manage labor and capital resources effectively, balancing budgets and utilizing efficient scheduling practices to support operations and maintenance needs.Collaborate as a key member of the site leadership team, working closely with internal departments and external partners in a positive, solutions‑focused manner.Assist in developing and executing the annual performance plan to meet departmental and site-wide business goals.Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Business Administration, or another relevant technical discipline.3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and web‑based platforms.Experience managing manufacturing projects and executing continuous improvement initiatives, including foundational knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and IPS.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and clear direction-setting.Ability to manage high workloads, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced production environment.
