We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 2nd Shift Production Manager to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire 2nd Shift production process.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans in line with company objectives and targets.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure the smooth execution of production processes.
- Monitor the production process, make on-the-spot decisions about equipment use, maintenance, modification, and procurement.
- Supervise and evaluate the performance of production personnel, ensuring that all procedures are carried out according to established standards.
- Analyze production data and implement improvements in line with findings.
- Manage budgets and costs effectively in respect of the planning processes.
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are met at all times.
- Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders and provide regular updates on production progress.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to maintain product consistency and high quality.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Sheet-metal fabrication / heavy manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in production planning and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and health & safety regulations.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in team management.
- Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills and a sound understanding of data analysis techniques.
