Position Summary
The Production Manager leads all manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to company quality standards. This role is responsible for production planning, team leadership, quality assurance, inventory coordination, continuous improvement, and operational performance.
As a member of the Leadership Team, the Production Manager collaborates with Sales, Operations, Design, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership to improve productivity, support customer satisfaction, and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop production supervisors and manufacturing employees, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee daily production operations to ensure quality, efficiency, on-time delivery, and effective use of labor, equipment, and materials.
- Manage production schedules, workflow priorities, staffing, and resource allocation to meet customer commitments and business objectives.
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, SOPs, workflows, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
- Monitor and analyze production KPIs, implementing corrective actions and process improvements as needed.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Partner with Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to support smooth operations and exceptional customer experience.
- Oversee inventory control, equipment maintenance, facility utilization, and vendor relationships.
- Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and initiatives that improve capacity, efficiency, profitability, and scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including supervision of production teams.
- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, inventory management, safety compliance, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
