Our client is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead second shift manufacturing operations in a fast-paced production environment. This individual will be responsible for overseeing daily production activities, leading and developing production staff, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring quality and safety standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a manufacturing setting and is passionate about continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all second shift production operations to ensure daily production goals and customer deadlines are achieved.
- Lead, coach, and mentor production supervisors and hourly employees to promote accountability, teamwork, and high performance.
- Monitor productivity, workflow, and production metrics while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency.
- Partner with Quality, Purchasing, Inventory, and Logistics teams to ensure production runs smoothly and customer expectations are met.
- Address production challenges quickly by implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime and improve output.
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S and continuous improvement efforts to enhance processes and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Assist with employee onboarding, training, and ongoing development to build a knowledgeable and productive workforce.
- Prepare and maintain production reports, performance metrics, and operational documentation using
- Microsoft Office applications.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment while effectively handling employee concerns and operational issues.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in cable assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a similar production setting is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Work Environment
- This position is based in a manufacturing facility with regular interaction between the production floor and office. The Production Manager will work closely with supervisors, production personnel, and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality operations.
