Production Manager (precision manufacturing assembly)

75-year-old (and growing!) industrial components engineering & manufacturing company has an opening for a Production Manager on the 1st shift.

 Duties:

• Lead assembly operations by ensuring quality and on-time production
• Lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Management initiatives
• Coach, develop, and hold employees accountable while maintaining positive working relationships and fostering employee engagement
• Establish and monitor production KPIs – including safety, quality, labor efficiency, scrap, and schedule achievement
• Utilize company’s ERP system

Requirements:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Operations Management, or a related field a plus)
• 5+ years of production management / leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Precision machining / manufacturing or complex assembly management experience preferred
• Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, 5S, or similar operational excellence initiatives
• Strong ERP/MRP systems experience
• Microsoft Office (Excel) proficiency
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to pass a drug test

Salary: $100-120K
