We are partnering exclusively with a growing, highly specialized precision manufacturing company in Rochester Hills to identify its next Production Manager.

\n

\n

This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing an approximately 45-person manufacturing operation with six experienced team leads. You’ll have the opportunity to put your stamp on the operation—developing people, strengthening processes, improving production flow, and driving continuous improvement.

What You'll Lead

\n

• \n
• Day-to-day manufacturing operations in a high-mix, low-volume environment
• \n
• Six production leads and an experienced manufacturing workforce
• \n
• Production scheduling, priorities, changeovers, throughput, quality, and delivery
• \n
• Continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean, 5S, standard work, and structured problem solving
• \n
• ERP/MRP utilization, production reporting, WIP, and operational visibility
• \n
• Equipment uptime, preventive maintenance, and reduction of recurring production issues
• \n
• Employee development, cross-training, accountability, and succession planning
• \n
• A strong culture centered around safety, respect, teamwork, and treating people the right way

What We're Looking For

\n

We want a true manufacturing leader, not someone who manages exclusively from an office. The strongest candidates will bring:

• \n
• Production leadership experience in high-mix/low-volume, precision manufacturing, automotive, metal fabrication, or a similar environment
• \n
• Strong Lean / Continuous Improvement / 5S experience
• \n
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and production KPIs
• \n
• A track record of developing teams and improving manufacturing performance
• \n
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through changing production priorities
• \n
• Experience with tube bending, forming, fabrication, welding, or small-diameter tubing would be especially valuable
• \n
