Production Manager
Job Location: San Rafael, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $32-$36/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 6:30am-3:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience as a Production Manager or Pack Room Team Lead? Our client, a growing specialty beef company, is looking for a hands-on leader to oversee daily packing, labeling, and shipping operations. This role works alongside the production team while ensuring production tracking is accurate, orders are completed on time, and the team operates efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the pack room by setting daily priorities, training employees, and maintaining workflow
- Ensure accurate production tracking, including barcode scanning, counts, and labeling
- Oversee label printing and verify products are labeled correctly before shipment
- Coordinate with the butchering team to ensure packing keeps pace with production
- Help manage the monthly inventory process by organizing counts and maintaining accurate records
- Work alongside the team in the pack room, leading by example
- Maintain quality, food safety, and production standards throughout the shift

Experience Required:
- Previous leadership experience in a production, warehouse, food manufacturing, or fulfillment environment
- Strong Excel skills and experience tracking production data
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Experience with barcode scanning and label printing, or the ability to learn quickly
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Comfortable working on your feet in a cold food production environment
- Food production or cold storage experience is a plus
