POSITION DESCRIPTION TITLE: Structural Production Manager REPORTS TO: East Coast Structural Production Manager FLSA STATUS: Exempt PAY RANGE: $135,000.00-$145,000.00 Annually DOE FT / PT STATUS: Full Time LOCATION: Office, Shipyard(s) & Customer Facilities SUMMARY Responsible for production, coordination, quality control, workforce management, inspections and safety on designated structrural jobs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Reviews production orders or schedules to ascertain service data such as time frames, quantities and specifications of work package and scheduled completion dates for multiple projects
- Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for meeting schedule dates and work plateaus.
- Prepares operational schedules and coordinates work activities to ensure production and quality of jobs meet specifications.
- Reviews production and operating reports and resolves operational and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
- Inspects jobs and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization.
- Develops or revises standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards.
- Interprets company policies to supervisors/employees and enforces safety regulations.
- Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data.
- Interact with shipyard management and their employees to ensure efficient and smooth procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY - Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conduct Performance evaluations, providing recommendations for promotion and salary adjustments
- Handles or assists with disciplinary and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Highschool Diploma or equivalent
- 10+ years in a shipyard production environment in US Navy repair or new construction shipyards preferred
- PMP, PgMP, CAPM, and/or comparable project management certifications preferred.
- OSHA-10 (Company May Provide)
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Some work performed in an office environment
- Regularly exposed to extreme temperatures, high noise levels, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor weather conditions, dusty conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, hazardous machinery, heights, confined spaces, precarious places, proximity to other employees.
- Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to 50+ pounds (50 lbs occasionally, 25 lbs frequently, 10 lbs constantly)
- Lifting includes from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, waist to overhead
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- May be required to wear a respirator
- Travel may be required
