Production ManagerThis opportunity is with a medium-sized company operating within the transport & distribution industry. The organization is committed to delivering high-quality products and services while fostering an environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.Job DescriptionLead and manage plant operations across all assigned areas of responsibility. Establish production priorities to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and within budget targets. Monitor production, quality, and operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, GMP, and workplace safety standards. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, labor utilization, waste reduction, and cost control. Manage and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits. Coordinate cross-functionally with departments including Supply Chain, Procurement, Shipping, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Sales/Marketing. Prepare and present operational reports, performance analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership. Lead capital projects and department-specific improvement initiatives. Develop, mentor, coach, and evaluate supervisors, leads, and production team members. Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations, succession planning, and workforce development. Foster a positive, safe, and collaborative workplace culture.The Successful ApplicantA successful Production Manager in the food and beverage industry should have: Bachelor's degree in a related field. 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food and beverage production. 10+ years of management and leadership experience. Demonstrated success improving quality, safety, service, productivity, and cost-performance metrics Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process flow. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in food manufacturing environments. Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and operational reporting.What's on OfferCompetitive salary range of $100,000 to $135,000 USD annually.
