We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead and direct manufacturing operations within a fast-paced food and beverage production environment. This individual will be responsible for achieving production, quality, safety, and cost objectives while developing high-performing teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Description

  • Lead and manage plant operations across all assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Establish production priorities to ensure products are manufactured efficiently, safely, and within budget targets.
  • Monitor production, quality, and operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory requirements, including FDA, USDA, GMP, and workplace safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, labor utilization, waste reduction, and cost control.
  • Manage and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with departments including Supply Chain, Procurement, Shipping, Maintenance, Quality, R&D, and Sales/Marketing.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, performance analyses, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Lead capital projects and department-specific improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, mentor, coach, and evaluate supervisors, leads, and production team members.
  • Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations, succession planning, and workforce development.

Profile

A successful Production Manager in the food and beverage industry should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within food and beverage production.
  • 10+ years of management and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success improving quality, safety, service, productivity, and cost-performance metrics
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and process flow.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements in food manufacturing environments.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and cost control experience.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management, production planning, and operational reporting
