The Production Manager will lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring production, quality, safety, and cost objectives are achieved. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, developing high-performing teams, maintaining regulatory compliance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Description

  • Oversee daily plant operations to ensure production schedules, quality standards, and performance targets are consistently met.
  • Establish production priorities and optimize labor, equipment, and resources to maximize efficiency and output.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, quality enhancement, and cost savings.
  • Monitor production, labor, inventory, and operational metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and corrective action.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, sanitation, USDA, FDA, GMP, and company standards.
  • Lead customer, regulatory, and internal audits while maintaining a compliant and audit-ready facility.
  • Develop, mentor, and manage supervisors and production teams to support employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Maintenance, Procurement, Shipping, Quality, and R&D to support business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Manage employee relations, performance management, training programs, and workplace safety initiatives.
  • Prepare and present operational reports, business updates, and performance recommendations to senior leadership

Profile

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Food Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably within food and beverage production environments.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience managing production or plant operations teams.
  • Proven success improving safety, quality, service, productivity, and cost performance.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and operational best practices.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and process optimization initiatives.
  • Thorough understanding of food safety, quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, labor costs, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
