You'll learn how to create custom tooling used by manufacturers in the corrugated packaging industry. This position combines hands-on production, equipment operation, measuring, quality inspection, and problem-solving.No previous experience is required. We provide paid, hands-on training.If you're dependable, enjoy working with your hands, and are willing to learn, we'll teach you the specialized skills needed to be successful.What You'll Learn to DoOur products are custom-made, so this isn't a traditional production line where you make the same part all day. Depending on your assignment and training, you'll learn different parts of our manufacturing process.Your work may include:Creating custom steel rule tooling using job specifications and manufacturing drawingsProducing printing plates with specialized production equipmentPositioning and mounting printing plates according to individual customer requirementsFinishing and preparing completed plates for productionCreating proofs and checking completed work for accuracyUsing tape measures and other measuring tools to verify dimensionsSetting up and operating equipment used throughout the manufacturing processInspecting products before they move to the next stage of productionIdentifying quality issues and working with team members to correct problemsFollowing established safety and production proceduresMaintaining an organized and safe work areaAccuracy is important in this position. Because our products are manufactured to individual customer specifications, you'll need to pay attention to measurements, instructions, and details throughout the production process.Who We're Looking ForPrevious manufacturing experience can be helpful, but it isn't what matters most to us.
