BASIC PURPOSE Provide mechanical support for production personnel on packaging equipment. Equipment includes various types of sorters, fillers, cappers, torquers, check-weighers, labelers, coders (laser and inkjet), CCD camera inspection units, neckband/sleevers, cartoners, bundlers, case tapers, compounding equipment utilizing motors up to 60HP and open or closed loop temperature control systems. Other routine responsibilities include properly maintaining the packaging equipment to ensure high quality product utilizing the preventative maintenance, work order, calibration and cGMP documentation systems. Excellent troubleshooting skills essential to this position including single/three phase electrical and mechanical timing applications. Accurate routine set-ups, adjustments, equipment changeovers and periodical maintenance are expected of high speed packaging equipment systems and subsystems for proper operation. Ability to operate equipment to test equipment performance after repairs and preventative maintenance routines is also required. Ability to follow directions, good communication skills and proficiency with various types of computer software including MS Office applications is also preferred. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
