Production MIG Welder

Helion is hiring and we are looking to add a highly motivated MIG Welder to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment .

Responsibilities

• Perform production MIG welding using .052 wire

• Weld at 27–30 amps with wire speeds around 400–500

• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols

• Weld structural steel components including:

  • Joists
  • Ibeams
  • Webbing
  • Connection plates
  • Stiffeners
  • Supporting brackets

• Weld parts that have already been fit-up and prepared

• Maintain quality welds while meeting production goals

• Work effectively with a crew in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience in a production or structural steel environment
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols
• Pass 1G and 2G Unlimited Weld Test

Work Environment

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Standing, lifting, and working around heavy steel throughout the shift
