Job Summary
Employnet is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Production Operator is responsible for operating production equipment, processing raw materials, monitoring product quality, and ensuring all products are manufactured safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery and processing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Weigh, measure, blend, and process raw materials according to production schedules and batch specifications.
  • Monitor equipment performance and make minor adjustments to maintain efficient production and product quality.
  • Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Accurately complete production records, batch documentation, and inventory reports.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety regulations, and company quality standards.
  • Clean, sanitize, and maintain production equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
  • Identify equipment issues, production concerns, or quality deviations and report them promptly to supervisors.
  • Assist with packaging, labeling, palletizing, and preparing finished products for shipment.
  • Safely transport materials using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality assurance, warehouse, and maintenance teams to achieve daily production goals.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience operating industrial or processing equipment is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, production schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, twist, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and food-grade sanitation requirements.
