Production Operator 3rd Shift

Position Summary

The Production Operator supports day-to-day food manufacturing operations by operating production equipment, monitoring the production process, and ensuring products meet established quality and safety standards.

This position requires someone who can work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, follow detailed procedures, maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, and safely perform the physical requirements of the job.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and equipment, including mixers, ovens, filling machines, and packaging equipment.
• Set up equipment according to production specifications and monitor machinery throughout the production process.
• Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
• Follow established SOPs, GMPs, food safety requirements, and OSHA safety procedures.
• Properly package, assemble, and label products according to specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of production equipment, work areas, and storage areas.
• Identify and report equipment issues, quality concerns, safety hazards, or production problems to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow production schedules and work efficiently to meet daily production goals.
• Complete required production documentation and maintain accurate records using the Redzone production reporting system.
• Assist with material handling, inventory replenishment, and other production-related tasks as needed.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, quality control personnel, technicians, and other production employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous food manufacturing, production, machine operation, or similar manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to safely operate production machinery and equipment.
• Ability to read and follow safety rules, operating instructions, SOPs, and procedure manuals.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow production and quality procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be comfortable working around machinery, forklifts, noise, odors, dust, varying temperatures, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks including reaching, kneeling, bending, twisting, and occasional crawling.
• Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or other non-standard hours as needed.
