We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Production Operator for our Mixing or Calender department to help us achieve our goals and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Job Summary:
As a Production Operator - you will be responsible for operating and monitoring equipment to produce finished products in accordance with quality standards and production schedules. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines to produce a variety of materials, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor machine functions and performance, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product quality and production efficiency.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products and raw materials, documenting results and reporting any deviations or defects to the supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that all safety protocols and procedures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and optimize workflows.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime.
- Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety procedures as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in manufacturing or machining is a plus.
- Previous experience as a production operator or in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict quality control measures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
