General Production Worker - Food Manufacturing
Indianapolis, IN | Temp-to-Hire | Night Shift | $18/hr and up based on experience

Summary:
A leading commercial bakery and food manufacturing facility in Indianapolis is looking for reliable and motivated individuals to join its production team. This is a great opportunity to grow with a company that offers a clean, temperature-controlled environment and an excellent culture.

Position Overview:
The Production Operator / General Production Worker supports multiple stages of the manufacturing process, including ingredient handling, mixing, packaging, and operation of automated production equipment. The role involves monitoring product quality, troubleshooting basic mechanical issues, and ensuring that food safety and GMP standards are consistently met.

Schedule:
  • 2-2-3 rotating schedule (every other weekend off)
  • Night Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor automated production or packaging equipment
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and quality guidelines (GMPs)
  • Record production data in computer systems or logs
  • Assist with line changeovers and basic troubleshooting
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate equipment or material issues to supervisors or maintenance
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure safe operation and training
  • Comfortable standing for up to 12 hours per shift
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Willingness to work in a temperature-controlled environment (40-70°F)
  • Reliable attendance and strong teamwork mindset
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling
  • Climbing stairs/ladders as needed
  • Performing cleaning and sanitation tasks with water, tools, and chemicals
