\nAbout the Position
\nEnvases Media is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our manufacturing team on 1st shift.
\nThe Production Operator plays an important role in ensuring our products meet established quality, production, and safety standards. This position is responsible for inspecting products coming off the production line, packaging finished products, maintaining an organized work area, and supporting the overall success of the production team.
\nThe ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, pays close attention to detail, works well with others, and is committed to working safely and efficiently.
\nWhat You'll Do
\nProduction
\nEnsure all necessary materials and supplies are available at the workstation at the beginning of each shift.
\nVerify work order requirements before starting each order.
\nMaintain continuous operation of the box-making equipment.
\nRemove products from cartons and visually inspect them according to approved standards.
\nRepack products properly and ensure spines are adhered to.
\nTape and label cartons accurately.
\nPlace finished cartons on skids according to established procedures.
\nComplete required production, process, and quality documentation.
\nMaintain an efficient work pace and look for additional productive tasks when primary responsibilities are complete.
\nQuality
\nFollow the company's Quality System Manual and established manufacturing standards.
\nCompare first-piece production to the approved SteelBook® sample and manufacturing guidelines.
\nInspect products for defects, flaws, scratches, dents, color variances, and other quality concerns.
\nImmediately report quality issues to the Supervisor.
\nComplete all required quality and process reports.
\nTake pride in producing consistent, high-quality products.
\nSafety
\nFollow all company safety policies and equipment operating procedures.
\nFollow forklift pedestrian safety requirements and annual safety training.
\nWear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
\nRequired PPE: Cut-resistant gloves.
\nHousekeeping
\nMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
\nKeep equipment, tools, and materials neat and orderly.
\nSweep floors and clean/wipe down equipment as needed.
\nEmpty waste containers and move waste to designated disposal areas.
\nMaintain an organized workstation throughout the shift.
\nWhat We're Looking For
\nPreferred Qualifications:
\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred.
\nPrevious manufacturing or production experience preferred.
\nSuccessful candidates will demonstrate:

\nPhysical Requirements
\nThis position requires the ability to:
\nStand and walk for extended periods.
\nMove throughout the production/operator work area.
\nFrequently use hands and fingers to handle tools and products.
\nBend, kneel, twist, reach, and move arms throughout the workday.
\nLift up to 25 pounds.
\nVisually inspect products for defects and color variations.
\nCommunicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors regarding production and quality concerns.
\nWork Environment
\nThe Production Operator works in a manufacturing environment and may be exposed to:
\nMechanical equipment and machinery.
\nForklift traffic.
\nMetal sheets and sharp edges.
\nVarying temperatures.
\nEmployees are required to follow the company's dress code and wear all required PPE. Safety procedures must be followed at all times.
