Job Title: Production Operator – Day Shift

Job Description

The Production Operator – Day Shift is responsible for safely and efficiently running a full production line, from dough mixing through tortilla packaging, while ensuring high-quality output and strong overall line performance. This role plays a key part in operational success and directly impacts key company metrics. Operators are fully trained on all stages of the process and work within a tiered classification structure (T1, T2, and T3) that reflects their responsibility level and rewards.


Responsibilities


+ Operate and monitor the production line from dough mixing through tortilla packaging to ensure consistent, high-quality output.

+ Run manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently, following all established operating procedures.

+ Maintain a strong focus on product quality, ensuring tortillas meet all standards and specifications.

+ Identify and analyze production problems, propose solutions, and support corrective actions to minimize downtime.

+ Follow directions accurately and work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.

+ Work quickly and methodically to meet production targets without compromising quality or safety.

+ Use good hand–eye coordination to perform production tasks that require precision and consistency.

+ Communicate clearly with team members and leadership to support a positive and productive work environment.

+ Apply basic reading, writing, and math skills to understand instructions, complete documentation, and perform simple calculations.

+ Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and organizational skills to support continuous production operations.

Work Environment


This role is based in a world-class, SQF-certified food manufacturing facility in Caldwell, Idaho, specializing in heat-pressed, hand-stretched flour and corn tortillas. The environment is fast-paced and high-volume, producing approximately 5 million tortillas per day and supporting operations with over 300 full-time employees. Team members work with modern manufacturing equipment and established processes and freezing techniques that have been refined over more than 45 years. The facility emphasizes food safety, quality, and consistent production standards, offering a structured, professional setting for day-shift production work.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Caldwell, ID.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
