Summary

As a Production Operator, you will execute the assigned process and equipment in accordance with work instructions. You will support production volumes and quality targets under the production plan, using equipment and computerized systems to produce, assemble, evaluate, process, and package lithium-ion batteries in a climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities

Achieve KPIs including Production Target Quantity, OEE, Yield, and project targetsPrepare equipment and materials for productionLead machine change-over and verify proper function and product qualityOperate equipment in accordance with the OP Manual, inputting materials and monitoring defects and loss for continuous operationRequest and support calibration of measurement systemsPerform sorting, rework, and re-input activities as requiredConduct self-inspection of product and verify quality standards are metMaintain accurate records of production work, production logs, quality checks, and maintenance work logsTrack all non-conformances and scrapMonitor SPC, RMS, and QMS NCR systems and report findings to the supervisor or managerManage inventory of materials, semi-product, product, and holding material/productAdhere to company, team, and safety rules and requirements at all times, including clean room rules and PPE standardsPerform 5S audits and maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container)Follow existing HLBMA cleaning SOPs during downtime (e.g., line stop, waiting time), including cleaning assigned machines and surrounding work areasMentor and train new technical operatorsCooperate and communicate within and between departments and shiftsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisors and engineers

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED requiredVocational Certificate or Associate degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experienceAbility and willingness to work 8-12-hour shifts, weekends, and holidays, as business needs evolve. Applicants understand that shift assignments will be determined by the company based on operational needs and may change over time. 

Experience

Demonstrated reliable work history and consistent attendance in prior employment1+ years of manufacturing experience preferred

Basic computer literacyCommunication skillsProblem solving and analytical skillsBasic arithmetic abilityReading and writing skillsAbility to work well with individuals and teams to ensure the team meets and exceeds expectations

Physical Requirements

Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following PPE for periods of up to 12 hours: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, nitrile gloves, ear protection, and cleanroom suitMust be able to repeatedly lift, push, and pull materials or equipment for periods of up to 12 hoursMust be able to repeatedly stoop, twist, and bend for periods of up to 12 hoursMust be able to repeatedly reach overhead for periods of up to 12 hoursMust be able to sit and/or stand for extended periodsMust be able to use hands and fingers to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems

Work Environment

Work is performed in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment, including clean room areasWork may involve handling or working in proximity to hazardous materials and regulated industrial chemicalsExposure to chemical vapors, dust, or other controlled substances may occur depending on process assignmentStrict adherence to company safety policies and OSHA Hazard Communication requirements is mandatoryEmployees must properly wear and maintain assigned personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times within designated areasRequired PPE may include respirators, chemical-resistant garments, gloves, eye protection, face shields, or other equipment determined by process and risk assessment
