Job Title: Production Operator - Medical Device / Diagnostics Products
Location: Blauvelt, NY
Employment Type: Contract 6 months +
Compensation: $23.00/hour
Work Model: Onsite
Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Training Provided: 1st Day Orientation, 8:30-5 pm

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all production areas in a clean, organized, and inspection?ready condition in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Perform repairs and routine maintenance of facilities, wells, production equipment, and safety equipment.
  • Operate production platforms continuously, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Actively listen to shift instructions, safety briefings, and production updates to ensure accurate execution of tasks and smooth handoffs between teams.
  • Maintain accurate production reports; test safety and environmental equipment; and document results clearly and thoroughly.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, asking clarifying questions when needed to ensure proper understanding of procedures and production goals.
  • Utilize basic machinery and system troubleshooting skills, including familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Understand planning and scheduling techniques related to asset care management and production timelines.
  • Meet production standards and targets while identifying opportunities for process improvements based on observations and team feedback.
  • Complete forms, reports, logs, and batch records accurately, demonstrating strong attention to detail and compliance requirements.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures during all assigned duties and promptly report concerns or deviations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working on a production line.
  • Experience working in a GMP and SOP?driven environment desired such as pharmaceuticals, medical device, etc.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures related to GMP, FDA regulations, SOPs, Batch Records, and ISO standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to actively listen to instructions, safety guidance, and feedback, and apply them accurately on the production floor.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for machinery and system issues.
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Strong documentation and record?keeping skills.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and safe work practices.
