Description

Position: Production Operator (Slide Assembly)
Location: Rochester, NY

Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Operator to support slide assembly operations in a regulated manufacturing environment in Rochester, NY. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on production work in a structured, team-focused environment. The Production Operator will be responsible for operating equipment, performing quality inspections, completing production documentation, and ensuring compliance with SOPs, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Pay Rate:

  • $20.00 - $24.00/Hour (Based On Experience)

Shift(s):

  • Rotating 12-Hour Schedule:
    • 2 Days: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
    • 2 Nights: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM
    • 3 Days Off
    • Repeat Schedule

Job Duties:

  • Operate manufacturing equipment used in slide assembly production processes
  • Monitor equipment performance and perform basic machine adjustments as needed
  • Complete visual inspections and tool-based quality checks to ensure product specifications are met
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and regulatory requirements
  • Complete accurate production, quality, and manufacturing documentation
  • Identify production issues and communicate concerns to leadership
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime
  • Participate in shift handoffs and communicate important production updates
  • Maintain training records and complete required production training
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
  • Support additional production tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Ability to perform basic equipment adjustments
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Familiarity with cGMP, SOPs, audits, or quality systems is a plus
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word, email, and data entry
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred
  • SAP or Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work a rotating schedule

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing/laboratory environment with exposure to production equipment, chemicals, and biological materials
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent repetitive motions and hands-on production activities
  • Must follow all PPE, safety, and quality requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in a regulated production environment
