Champion Personnel is hiring 6 Production Operators in Strongsville, Ohio. We are looking for 2 people on each shift for long-term, contract-to-hire opportunities.
Our client is a global manufacturer of paints, coatings, and specialty materials. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to get into manufacturing, learn new equipment, and develop more advanced machine operating skills.
Available Shifts
- 1st Shift – 2 openings: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift – 2 openings: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift – 2 openings: Monday–Friday, 11:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Pay: $20.67/hour
What You'll Be Doing
Production Operators will start by learning the manufacturing process and working with smaller extrusion equipment. Duties include:
- Weighing, blending, and processing raw materials
- Measuring materials according to batch sheets
- Loading materials into extrusion machines
- Monitoring extrusion equipment during production
- Packaging finished products into containers
- Preparing finished products for shipment
- Moving and staging materials throughout the production area
- Learning to operate a sit-down tow motor/forklift
- Cleaning machinery after production runs
- Keeping workstations clean and organized
- Collecting and disposing of production waste
- Learning more advanced extrusion and grinding equipment as you progress
You should be:
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Detail-oriented
- Comfortable using basic math
- Willing and able to learn new machinery
- Safety-conscious
- Motivated to show up every day and learn
Sit-down tow motor/forklift experience is a HUGE plus, but candidates who are motivated and have entry-level manufacturing experience may still be considered.
