Production Packer 

Position Summary

The Production Packer is responsible for safely operating packaging equipment, ensuring product quality, and maintaining compliance with food safety and manufacturing standards. This role plays a critical part in achieving production targets while upholding quality, safety, and efficiency across operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up packaging equipment, including conducting pre-operational inspections to ensure readiness.
• Operate and continuously monitor equipment to ensure optimal performance throughout production runs.
• Immediately stop equipment and report any malfunctions, quality concerns, food safety risks, GMP violations, or process deviations.
• Inspect finished goods and packaging to verify compliance with quality and specification standards.
• Perform and accurately document quality control tests (e.g., particle size, color, flavor, bulk density).
• Make necessary equipment adjustments to maintain production standards and record all changes or maintenance performed.
• Replenish raw materials as needed and ensure proper handling, tracking, and return of unused materials with full traceability.
• Perform thorough cleaning, sanitizing, disassembly, and reassembly of equipment following established procedures.
• Complete and maintain sanitation records, including environmental swab documentation.
• Communicate effectively with team members and support smooth transitions across shifts.
• Contribute to meeting production goals, performance targets, and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Provide support in other areas of the facility as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing or processing equipment.
• Ability to perform product inspections and execute quality control testing procedures.
• Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Ability to accurately maintain production, quality, and sanitation records.
• Dependable with a strong commitment to attendance and punctuality.
• Team-oriented with effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Flexible and willing to work across multiple areas of the plant as required.
