A major Aerospace company is looking for a Production Painter 1 to support our paint/wet chemistry department. As a member of the paint/wet chemistry department you'll get to paint and prime a varity of aerospace structures.
This position will serve on-site at Space Structures.
Responsibilities
Coats surface of parts, assemblies, and finished products with protective or decorative materials such as paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, dope, or stain using spray gun. Selects and mixes coating material; coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer using brush or roller.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Basic qualifications:
Ability to review and interpret drawings for application of masking and paint/primer.
Experience in application of aerospace coatings, BR127, Z307, etc.
Ability to lift 50lbs.
Ability to get certified for use with a half face respirator.
Basic surface preparation using abrasive blast media.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in etching of aluminum surfaces, suing P2 or FPL etchant.
Experience in mixing chemical etchant baths.Extensive experience in application of BR127 and BR127NC for bonding purposes.
This position is intended to be contracted to hire. While this is our intent, this is not a promise to hire by Northrop Grumman. This contract position aligns with our full-time role of production painter.
