Production Planner - Aerospace

JOB TITLE: Production Planner
LOCATION: Mesa, AZ 1st & 2nd shifts
PAY RATE: $45/hour

Summary: The Production Planner works on materials planning, generation, and aids in monitoring the production and materials schedule through the use of Virgin Galactic systems.  The Production Planner coordinates weekly updates, makes real-time changes, and informs stakeholders of changes, while evaluating the feasibility of those recommended changes. Works with many cross functional teams such as Project Management, Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and Inventory to ensure the production and materials schedule conformance is maintained.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field; and /or combination of education and work experience is required
• 5 years or more of industry experience in progressive technical and leadership roles.
• Prior Planning and Scheduling experience required.
• Experience working with Manufacturing Resource Planning/Enterprise Resource Planning (MRP)/(ERP) systems.
• A firm understanding of part masters, BOM indentions, WIP and forecast planning
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
• Competency using MS Office suite of tools.
• Ability to ensure effective collaboration across teams
• Good planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve moderately complex issues effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, apply good interpersonal skills and utilize available resources to accomplish company goals.
• Ability to collaborate on projects with fellow team members, or interdepartmental functions to achieve goals or solve problems.
• Focuses on timeliness and execution of tasks and deliverables.
