Production Planner and Scheduler II

DPP is seeking a Production Planner & Scheduler II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.
 
Work location: Onsite in Lake Charles, LA
Duration: 11 months
Shift: Mon-Fri, 7:30AM-4:30PM
Terms: W2 Contract
Work authorization: US Citizen
 
Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules and coordinate resource requirements (Labor and Material) across departments to ensure a controlled flow of production.
• Build and Baseline the Aircraft Modification and or Maintenance/Repair/Overhaul (MRO) schedule to meet contract time constraints in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable standards (e.g., DCMA 14-point test, etc.).
• Develop staffing profile to meet schedule requirements working with Operations on specialized skill requirements.
• Prepare input to scheduled and periodic reports to include briefing materials for Senior Executives/Flag Officer level briefs.
• Prepare Contractor Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) reports to Data Item Description (DID) and Defense Contractor Management Activity (DCMA) standards within the PWS and/or leadership specified time constraints.
• Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, potential production constraints, and risk associated with constraints to meet contract delivery timelines.
• Advise leadership on schedule impacts for new work discoveries or to support customer requested additions to scope of work.
• Work with Maintenance Operations Center (MOC) to schedule ad hoc requirements on short notice.
• Brief schedule build with associated assumptions, risks, and constraints during Induction Readiness Review (IRR). Publishes MS Project Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) to SharePoint to support department data pulls.
• Use Structured Solutions Incorporated (SSI) Tools in conjunction with MS Project to define Critical Path.
• Assist departments with production start dates for up to 2,000 tasks to facilitate material coordination.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with MS Project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in aviation industry.
