Production Planner, Chemical/ Compounding Industry

Professional Search Group OC is looking for you to Join our dynamic team as a Production Planner in the chemical manufacturing industry, where your expertise will drive efficiency, optimize production schedules, and ensure seamless supply chain operations. Duties

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules using ERP systems such as SAP to align with customer orders and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with manufacturing teams to plan daily operations, ensuring optimal utilization of equipment and personnel.
• Analyze production data through Excel and supply chain analytics tools to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
• Monitor inventory levels and material availability via MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Lead cross-functional communication between production, quality control, procurement, and logistics teams for smooth workflow execution.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Oversee plant management activities related to production scheduling, assembly processes, and operations management to meet safety and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in production management within the chemical or manufacturing industry, with a strong understanding of plant management practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning software; experience with MRP is essential.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and forecasting purposes.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, lean management, process improvement strategies, and Six Sigma techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles, including supply chain analytics and operations management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; familiarity with production scheduling software is a plus.
