What does 'open book, employee owned, high involvement, team' mean?

It's highly likely that you have never heard of an "open book, emplyee, owned, high involvement company" before. AMBAC is one of very few (and fortunate) companies that exists as an open book, employee owned, high involvement, team.

- Open Book is about teaching everyone to understand the company. Literally, we share and teach everyone on the team how the company operates, where the company stands in terms and numbers and financials, and what can each of us do to make a difference.

- AMBAC has an employee ownership program called an ESOP. More than that, every employee has a role in how the company is run and has a real stake in the outcome. Employee Ownership at AMBAC means every employee is an important part of the team.

- High involvement is how we get everyone involved. The whole company, from the warehouse technicians to the CFO, is involved in our weekly updates, twice yearly planning sessions, surveys, and our frequent discussions. We set our goals, and then we go after them with as a team with a friendly, but competitive, attitude.

We believe that if everyone understands and works toward our common goals, we all win.
