Location/Division Specific Information

Our Cincinnati site is a Center of Excellence for specialized oral solid dose manufacturing and pharmaceutical drug development within our Pharma Services Group (PSG).

Position Summary

The Demand Planner III ensures planning system readiness, demand alignment, and supply continuity for their customer portfolio.

Working within the Supply Chain organization, this position partners closely with Commercial Demand Planning, Business/Project Management, Operations, Quality, and Technical Operations to maintain accurate ERP master data, support MRP execution, and enable a seamless transition to steady-state commercial planning.

Strong Quality mindset is required in this role as this Demand Planner III will focus on Deviation, Change Control, CAPA, and WI management for the Supply Chain team.

What will you do?

  • Develops, organizes, and manages the allocation of finished goods, bulk products, supporting materials, and workflow processes to ensure optimal client service levels, minimal inventory investment, and maximum plant efficiency.
  • Leverage all available data, tools, and resources (SAP Planning System, Trackwise Quality Management System, Planet Together scheduling system, etc.) to create inferences, assumptions, and forecasts to meet scheduled commits.
  • Acts as the central planning focal point for assigned project portfolio and serve as the primary planning contact for the lifecycle management of commercial products and product development transfers.
  • Responsible for sales unit forecasting, material requirements, batch material readiness, and ensuring the execution of manufacturing/packaging batch execution to customer needs. Additionally, manages carrier coordination and ensures the on-time shipment of products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional department representatives to maintain a relationship-based influential partnership and build and maintain customer allegiance.
  • Ownership on Demand Planning training and onboarding for both technical expertise as well as effective customer-facing interactions.
  • Main point of contact for key systems such as Trackwise, PharmaSuite, Optel, etc.
  • Support S&OP processes by providing visibility to validation-related supply plans and risks.

Inventory & Risk Management

  • Develop inventory bridge strategies to mitigate service disruption product portfolio life cycle management.
  • Monitor excess and obsolescence exposure related to lifecycle changes.
  • Identify material, capacity, or system risks and partner cross-functionally to implement mitigation plans.
  • Track service level performance and inventory health during validation execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Business/Project Management, Quality, Regulatory, and Procurement to ensure supply readiness.
  • Maintain clear communication of planning assumptions, risks, and timeline impacts.

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive improvements in planning processes related to product introduction and site transfer.
  • Support data accuracy initiatives and system optimization efforts.
  • Contribute to best practice development within the planning organization.

How will you get here?

  • 3-5 years professional experience; supply chain or customer-facing preferred.
  • Strong ERP experience (SAP preferred).
  • Trackwise experience is preferred.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Education

BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, or another business or technical field preferred; equivalent experience required.
