Production Planner
Location: Lafayette, IN
Pay: $65,000–$75,000/year
Shift: 1st Shift
We are seeking a Production Planner to support manufacturing operations by coordinating materials, inventory, purchasing, and supplier communication. This role plays a key part in ensuring production runs efficiently by maintaining proper inventory levels and supporting on-time delivery of materials.
The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing planning, scheduling, inventory, or supply chain experience.
Responsibilities

Create and manage purchase orders

Monitor inventory levels and material availability

Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers

Support production schedules and manufacturing demands

Track inventory and production data within ERP/MRP systems

Troubleshoot supply chain and material shortages

Communicate with production and operations teams

Support continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications

Manufacturing, planning, or supply chain experience required

Experience with ERP or MRP systems preferred

Strong Excel and computer skills

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication and organizational skills

Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus
