Are you a supply chain enthusiast eager to make a global impact? We are looking for a dynamic Production Planner to join our team at our Hill's Pet Nutrition Global Headquarters. Responsibilities:

  • Optimize production schedules to align with commercial activities, ensuring operational efficiency collaborating closely with manufacturing plant planning teams

  • Leverage planning tools (SAP, Kinaxis, Sigma, Domo) to proactively manage and mitigate product shortages or overproduction. In close collaboration with the Supply Network and Demand Planning teams, you will set clear priorities and adjust plans to maintain optimal inventory levels and uphold our commitment to operational excellence

  • Foster collaboration with diverse Supply Chain teams to implement supply network strategies and achieve key performance goals

  • Conduct capacity and resource allocation analyses to identify outsourcing opportunities and proactively address planning risks. By balancing demand with available production line time, you will determine resource needs, assess outsourcing potential, and effectively communicate any risks to the plan, ensuring strategic foresight in our production processes

  • Manage system-driven planning by overseeing master data updates in SAP and other planning systems to enhance automated processes. You will define critical MRP data, including Safety Stock, MOQ, and lot size strategies, to improve efficiency, minimize costs and waste, and elevate service levels and quality in our manufacturing operations

  • Support our financial objectives by optimizing global SKU stock coverage and refining inventory projections, contributing to precise month-end reporting, ensuring forward-looking optimization of stock levels and robust financial reporting in both units and pounds

  • Facilitate the successful execution of new product initiatives by coordinating with Demand Planning, Network Operations, Finance, and Customer Service & Logistics teams, ensuring readiness and timely launches

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field

  • Minimum 4 years planning experience

  • Proficient in SAP S/4 Or any other ERP systems,

  • Proficient with analytical tools (Excel, sheets, etc)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Kinaxis Rapid Response and Planet Together experience

  • Understanding of SQL and data management systems

  • Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork, decision-making, planning, and execution skills

  • Expert in managing inventories, continuous improvement, logistics systems, business understanding, and supply chain collaboration

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range $86,000.00 - $137,000.00 USD

Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.

Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
