Production Planning Specialist II

Pay Rate: $30–$33/hr. (some flexibility)
Location: Beverly, MA
Duration: Direct Hire OR Temp-to-Perm
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
Hours: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (1-hour lunch)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Production Planning Specialist to coordinate production schedules and help ensure products are available to meet customer demand. This role will work closely with Operations, Customer Service, and suppliers to monitor orders, manage priorities, and address potential delays.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in an ERP system, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production planning activities within an assigned group of products.
• Use ERP systems to release work orders, review demand, identify capacity concerns, and coordinate with Operations.
• Maintain and update expected delivery dates for purchase and sales orders.
• Monitor order backlogs and maintain accurate delivery and shipping information.
• Follow up on high-priority or overdue orders and work with suppliers to help resolve delays.
• Communicate order and production status to Customer Service and other internal teams.
• Monitor changing priorities and help identify potential scheduling issues before they impact customers.
• Perform additional duties and planning-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, supply chain, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
