Job Overview Our Mocksville plant doesnt just build equipment - we power industries. As the largest manufacturing site within our Compression Division, this facility produces a full line of rotary screw and centrifugal air compressors that keep operations running across the globe. We are seeking a Production Planner who thrives in a high-velocity manufacturing environment - someone who can orchestrate complexity, balance shifting priorities, and keep products moving with precision and confidence. Step into this fast-moving operation where collaboration across teams is strong and success is shared. In this role, you will be at the center of it all - coordinating scheduling and releasing incoming orders ranging from engineered units to standard configurations and refurbishments. You will ensure accurate order configuration, interpret and validate complex BOMs, assign ship-dates using Oracle ATP tools, and align production schedules across operations to drive on-time delivery. Your decisions will directly influence production flow, customer commitments, and overall operational performance. The ideal candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated manufacturing planning professional who understands complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) and confidently translates them into accurate, executable production plans. They are advanced in Microsoft Excel and related tools, using data to drive precise scheduling and informed decision-making. Experienced with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP, they leverage system functionality to align production, assign ship dates, and maintain momentum. They thrive in high-volume environments, multitask with discipline, communicate proactively across teams, and take full ownership of delivery performance. ResponsibilitiesOrder Management & Configuration Manage all incoming orders, including barn configurations and refurb units. Review daily migrated orders in Oracle R12 and analyze each orders configuration and Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine the correct machine build. Scheduling & ATP Management Utilize Oracle ATP (Available to Promise) to assign accurate estimated ship dates and release orders in Oracle. Review near-term demand for potential material shortages. Material & Production Coordination Use internal shortage reports to identify shortages and coordinate with Manufacturing to release orders to the production floor once issues are resolved. Inventory & Unit Assignment Oversee stocking, tracking, and assignment of all units once built and tested to ensure proper flow into shipping. Shipping Collaboration Collaborate with the Shipping team to ensure timely release of finished goods. CSR & Issue Resolution Partner closely with Customer Service Representatives (CSR) to resolve shortages, past-due orders, and migration delays. International Shipping Support Support international shipping processes, including participating in GEO meetings and preparing required reports. Sales & Quoting Support Partner with Sales to provide quoting support for potential new orders. Requirements 3 years of experience as a Buyer/Planner in a manufacturing environment. 3 years of experience working with Bills of Materials (BOMs) with demonstrated ability to interpret and navigate manufacturing workflows and BOM structures. 3 years experience and proficiency using ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP. Advanced Excel proficiency, including experience utilizing formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools. Core Competencies Solid analytical skills to review orders, BOMs, and material needs. Strong proficiency with ERP systems and Excel. Clear and effective communication across teams. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order and data review. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferences Bachelors degree. Experience with Oracle R12. Travel and Work Arrangements This role is based onsite in Mocksville, NC.
